The Peneda-Geres National Park is ranked Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. For the rare and stunning natural beauty, ecological value, variety of wildlife (deers, wild horses, wolves, ...) and flora (yew, chestnut, oak, ...), it is assumed as one of the greatest natural sights of Portugal.
